So looking back when I first started my blog, one of my biggest struggles was to find somebody who was willing to help me take pictures. It was either my brother or one of my friends.
However, even if I found somebody that was helping me, it was still a struggle as of I wasn’t feeling very confident.
It’s almost been 2 years since I have my own camera and I ‘poured my soul and heart’ in the photography aspect of my blog. So, below, I’m going to share with you some tips that will help you take better photos with no photographer.
# Tripod & Remote
Yeah, I mean you could use some boxes, books, and a self-timer but by the time the timer goes off you won’t be ready for it. Go the easy route this time and choose a tripod and a remote.
# Choose Your Outfit Wisely
Just because something looks nice in real life, it doesn’t mean it looks nice in photos as well. Choose something that goes well with your skin tone and body type. The elements in the picture need to go well together so that the result is will be eye-catching and beautiful.
# Use The Right Lens & Camera Settings
To avoid distortion I recommend a 50mm 50mm lens however if you need full body shots in tighter areas, a 35mm lens would be amazing.
Also, to avoid grainy shots, make sure that your camera settings are on point considering the fact that you shoot inside.
# The Lighting
The light is what makes the whole picture and if you plan to shoot on budget, natural light will be a huge life saver. As of its winter, it’s kinda tough because the day is much much shorter so your time is very limited. Also, keep in mind that the light is not equal every day but you’ll figure out what’s flattering or not as you go on the way.
